BSMHFT marks World Mental Health Day at Kings Heath Library

BSMHFT Library staff and representatives from the See Me team will be at Kings Heath Library for    World Mental Health Day on 10th October to help raise awareness and share information with visitors and members of the public. Kings Heath Library is a busy site, with sometimes over 600 people coming through its doors each day. Public Libraries can have an important role in helping to improve health and well-being. Read the Reading Agency’s latest blog on this subject here.

BSMHFT library service is currently working with Kings Heath Library to help provide a joinerecoverycolleged up service offer to support our service users, carers, and participants of the Recovery College. We will be promoting the new Recovery College programme so that service users who are in the community, or their families or carers are aware of the wide range of courses available to them. Sessions include Beginning Mindfulness, Compassion and recovery, Mental Health First Aid, Reading for Wellbeing and Recovery for carers, friends and families.
